| Magic packets from a distance? | 13 Oct 2006 00:53 GMT | 10 |
I know that you can use Magic Packets to wake a sleeping Mac... Is it possible to do this from outside the network? Can I have my Mac wake up when it gets a request from the outside world (ie me, trying to get in)? Or does my Mac have to be awake to notice any incoming traffic?

I've recently installed an airport extreme card in my ibook G4. The card works fine but there is now a narrow (approx 4 pixels) horizontal line running across the centre of the screen. It varies in colour between solid black and blue/gray). I'm fairly confident that I
