Macbook and HD TV question05 Sep 2006 13:15 GMT7
I have a black Macbook. My 32"Sony CRT TV has finally given up the ghost so
I am looking for a Plasma/LCD HD TV to replace it. (As an aside, I have
researched my options and it seems that Sharp has the best quality- if
anyone can suggest a model (or indeed any other make) I would ...

Lost my windows05 Sep 2006 11:38 GMT8
I am currently using a MacBook plugged into a Dell 20" widescreen
monitor. I sometimes use the extended desktop and use both the MacBook
and the Dell display at the same time. Other times I like to use just
the Dell display.
Any cabling geeks able to help me?05 Sep 2006 11:04 GMT11
I have some questions (as ever). In my current house, I have a
structured Cat 5 LAN. Details are here: <http://tinyurl.com/fte9o>.
With this LAN, I retrofitted it to the house after the position of the
set-top box was known. So behind the TV there is an RJ45 port connected

When gays get married, does one of the dirty faggots wear a wedding dress?05 Sep 2006 03:35 GMT-
How do they decide who wears the trousers in the relationship?
Interesting performance from iMic.05 Sep 2006 01:21 GMT-
I wanted to use a microphone with my G5, and perhaps see if I can
improve the audio quality from the iBoko. So got an iMic.
Nice bit of kit, and it does just work. Today I decided to actually do a
test between the line out on the iBoko and the line out of the iMic. I
Computer Psychology04 Sep 2006 22:12 GMT4
I have always been puzzled by some of the reactions I have had from Windows
users to the fact that I use a Mac (I don't get the same grief from Linux
users).  I saw this post on a forum I belong to (not specifically about
computers but with a section relating to it) and it is ...
Sage Accounts on iMac04 Sep 2006 20:56 GMT18

Do we think that the Sage Accounts Preparation application will run on

A client wants to do this but is looking for guarantees (that I won't give
Anyone got a wireless Mighty Mouse?04 Sep 2006 15:35 GMT15
Does anyone have a wireless Might Mouse? Does it light up the optical
bit on the bottom? All the other mice I have use a red laser via the
optical prism type bit on the bottom. I've just got a Wireless Mighty
mouse and it doesn't light up. It's a bit flaky in use. Jerky when

No, not the name of a specialist magazine :-)
I'm thinking of getting one. 200GB should be fine. Saw a Maxtor OneTouch
in Staples today but it isn't well reviewed.
It's to go with a MacMini...anyone used one of the LaCie or Iomega Mini
All hard disks are not the same?04 Sep 2006 08:39 GMT5
I might have known it...

different. The old disk, a Hitachi Deskstar, has a ribbon connector and
a four pin (?) power supply. The new disk a Seagate, has two rows of
