Hard drive capacity in a G5 PowerMac06 Sep 2006 09:44 GMT14
One little thing has been bugging me lately. I see lots of stories of
people using high capacity drives in their G5 Macs, like 750GB ones. I
have a 300GB Seagate Barracuda myself.
However, when I check the technical specs for my G5 at Apple, it still
getting TIFFs out of PDFs?06 Sep 2006 09:37 GMT16
Dumb question: I have some images, originally TIFF files, which were
saved as pdfs in GraphicConverter. Is there any way of reversing the
process - i.e. getting back to the 300dpi TIFFs? If I open them again in
GC, it imports them as 72dpi pdfs.

Apple Battery Recall05 Sep 2006 22:56 GMT20
It looks as though Apple are using our registration data after all.
I have just received an  email from them about the issue.

UK Customer Services?05 Sep 2006 22:38 GMT7
I know this may be a (very) stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway.
Does Apple have any UK-based customer services, whether tel or
snail-mail? I ask as I sent off my iPod, which has 2 intermittent
faults, and they quickly returned it to me, saying that their test

Stop me if you've heard this before. Mac. Book. Pro. Drive. Dead. Again.05 Sep 2006 21:39 GMT11
Unbelievably, the drive has just died on my MacBook Pro again. Truly
astonishing. Back from Apple less than three days, and used for only
about five hours in that time.
The silver lining this time is that Apple have already agreed to a
Leopard questions05 Sep 2006 21:33 GMT5
These are probably premature but let's try anyway:
 - any clues as to the minimum hardware spec for Leopard client or server?
 - am I likely to get away with Leopard server and Panther clients?
Cheers
