iTunes artwork oddities14 Sep 2006 17:24 GMT2
It would be even cooler if it always got it right, but iTunes is making
some odd assumptions in allocating artwork to some of my ripped albums.
I got The Scissor Sisters artwork for a Sister Hazel album
Robbie Williams over a Molly Hatchett album
Anyone still using iTunes 6?14 Sep 2006 16:45 GMT9
Could I ask a favour? Could you email me the icon over (reply-to works)?
That blue icon just looks shoddy (and half my dock stuff is blue already,
so it just blends in).

Fixed a PB G4 power cable...14 Sep 2006 16:15 GMT-
The eldest's PB G4 battery won't hold more than 5min charge, she can't
afford a new one. then her power cable died, broken wire close to the
connector at the PB end. Ditto affordablity. Depression sets in.

iTV - wild a.s idea.14 Sep 2006 15:30 GMT19
Fact            : iSteve claims Q1 2007 for release.
Opinion         : The unit demoed looked pretty damn functional.
Speculation     : Actually going to be released late November.
Thoughts?
Changes all round today!14 Sep 2006 15:15 GMT5
What with iTunes changes, and now bloody eBay has gone and changed their
look as well.
Earlier today I bunged some stuff on for sale, all as usual. I've just
been on to add some more, and it's all changed.
Making a RAID array14 Sep 2006 14:58 GMT1
Sadly, I can't afford an XServe RAID. I've been wondering about how
hard it might be to set up my own RAID array. I could do it with a set
of Firewire or USB2 enclosures (I have a four-way USB2 card in another
PowerMac that I could use). But I'd like to do it all in one box. So my
Missing videos14 Sep 2006 14:55 GMT8
I can't see the point of iTunes7 being able to download videos if none
are available in UK.  The US site has videos, unavailable to UK, UK has
none, but is advertising the new iPod apparently capable of showing the
unobtainable videos ?
How to buy a Dell14 Sep 2006 13:29 GMT8
Compare and contrast buying a Dell from their website against buying an
Apple.
If you want to play along at home, here's the item you have to try to buy;
it's a home media entertainment wotsit:
Transmit14 Sep 2006 12:58 GMT3
Where does Transmit store ftp passwords?
I've re-installed it and copied the application support folder and
plists from the backup. I've got the list of favorites all correct but
no passwords. I've also copied the keychains across.
Party Shuffle in iTunes 714 Sep 2006 12:37 GMT8
Party Shuffle now plays one track, then stops. Or is it just me?
MacBook screen - no backlight14 Sep 2006 12:24 GMT4
My backlight just went off - managed to shine my desk lamp on the
screen and could see enough to shut down properly - started up fine,
albeit with maximum brightness as if to make up for lost light.
Is this likely to be a symptom of a recurring promble?
New earphones14 Sep 2006 11:56 GMT5
What's with the new earphones? Redesign for the sake of it, or what?

Macspotting? Your opinions please...14 Sep 2006 11:56 GMT3
Reading an entirely non-Mac related article (about the secuity aspects of
laptop locks) I watched the first demo video...

iPod: manual + automatic? and backups.14 Sep 2006 11:06 GMT4
As I'm vaguely considering the iPod with as much disk space as my iBook
(?!) I will probably want to shift to keeping all my music on the iPod
(make some space on the iBook, and have more music on the iPod). So
that's manual updating I'll be wanting.
