Now *there* is a well-loved and well-used machine.
biggest HDD for Macbook? Also 7200 vs 5400rpm...22 Sep 2006 23:33 GMT9
Anyone know the largest available internal drive for the macbook?
Just got my new one, and need a bigger drive.  The 100GB Travelstar's
are common in 7200rpm, or a 120gb one at 5400rpm, but does anyone do a
fast, larger one that' not horrendously expensive?  Anyone know any good
Accessing an iPod from Windows22 Sep 2006 22:54 GMT51
Is it possible to access an HFS+ iPod from Windows in a way that doesn't
involve major hacks? I'd like to go around a friend's house and use it
as an external drive, but it's unlikely any of my friends will be
comfortable with any sort of under-the-hood driver installations.

Easy way to hook up CCTV thingy to Mac?22 Sep 2006 19:17 GMT16
Last night some...person...smashed in my passenger door window,
driver's door window, & windscreen. Now, while I have been known to
wind people up occasionally, I can't believe in my wildest dreams
that I would ever drive anyone to this. I don't know if it was

They are stuck up, narrow minded (i.e. accepting to gays) .. the other

Cringely's at it again22 Sep 2006 18:30 GMT2
Rather interesting read today. He thinks the iTV might become a video
conferencing tool 9as part of its other functions). He cites the USB
port as being there for an iSight.
Now apart from the fact that iSights are (currently) Firewire, I have to wonder

QuickDEX for Intel Macs?22 Sep 2006 16:20 GMT3
I've been using the same QuickDEX[1] file since 1988. When OSX arrived
it was the one thing that I carried on using classic for. Eventually
MooDEX arrived and I could leave classic behind forever.
The I got an Intel Mini and problems begin again, MooDEX runs like a

iTunes 7 getting the thumbs down22 Sep 2006 15:18 GMT30
Unprompted, I had two people at work tell me yesterday that they'd
downloaded the new iTunes and didn't like the UI. Reviews around the
web don't seems so great either, and last night I updated one of the
Macs here taking the Quicktime and Front Row updates but deciding not
