Not sure if I'm using the correct term, but I've just purchased an
external HDD and connected it and formatted it as "Mac OS Extended
Journaled".
I want to store my movies on it, so naturally to my mind what I want is

just tried to start using the iMac at work again - new colleague, not

It started up fine, began downloading the updates, all 200mB of them, and

I subscribe to a number of NG's but only one (UCSM) shows this
behaviour.
There's a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the messages pane. I've
tried resizing the columns but can't get rid of it.
