| Keynote transition timings | 24 Sep 2006 18:58 GMT | 2 |
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but Keynote's accuracy when it comes to transition timings is extremely poor. I often need to synchronise text and audio; I find that: playing the same presentation on a different Mac

Ever since Steve Jobs unveiled the Mac mini I've lusted after one to use as a PVR with my trusty EyeTV, and general media centre. However, I was very sensible and waited patiently for a few details to be ironed out, eg. Front Row integregration of mini and EyeTV software

| iMac G5 owners | 24 Sep 2006 17:56 GMT | 15 |
I think that my hard disk drive (a Western Digital model) is rasing the internal case temperatures, and making the fans noisier than I'd like. The two drive temperature sensors in mine show a steady climb to temperatures in the 50s (high 50s for the SMART sensor, low 50s for the

We have an excel sheet that we need to update independently but keep up to speed with the current version. So, I put it on a shared folder on my G5's HD, in the root, and made aliases to that folder which I put on both users on both the G5 and the new MacBokoPro. The file is ...

I can't imagine this drive will be used on any other machines, and I know HFS is journalled so theoretically more tolerant, but is there any benefit in formatting a new external HDD as HFS over FAT32 which is the default?

Hi folks. OSX 10.47 G5 dual. I have a folder with a large number of subfolders in it. In each folder is an html file. I need to make an identical text change to each file. BBEdit is perfect for the job but...I must open each file first. Surely there must be a utility that

I'm using the latest version of Virtual PC on my I-book. Not very often, especially as it runs rather slowly. I have noticed that if I save the settings when closing Virtual PC (I suppose that is a kind of suspend mode, and those who use it probably know what I mean) the next ...

I'm normally one for keeping the default everything on my Mac - background, screen-saver, icons....whatever (dock excluded). Despite that, I'm still having fun poking around this site: http://www.macdesktops.com/
