| Small audio amp? | 26 Aug 2006 11:38 GMT | 17 |
Here's a thing: I've been trying to track down a physically small audio amplifier - I'm thinking of something like a small stereo power amp with perhaps an input attenuator/other gain control and an input that expects `CD' levels, so I can plug it straight into the back of a Mac and ...

| Applescript: append text to front email? | 26 Aug 2006 10:00 GMT | - |
I'm trying to write an Applescript that puts text into an email. I can start a new email containing my required text, but I can't work out how to append text to the front window if that window is an email being composed. Google is surprisingly little help on this matter.

| Javascript to fire off Applescript? | 26 Aug 2006 10:00 GMT | - |
I doubt that this is possible, but... You can fire off Javascript "bookmarklets" from the bookmark bar in Safari (to add to bookmarks, send as email, whatever). Is it possible to get some Javascript to run an Applescript, so I can

| And another thing | 25 Aug 2006 20:12 GMT | 6 |
Doncha just hate the way NeoOffice stoopidly quits when you close the last open document, especially when it so slow to start up? I'll probably never be able to make a decent assessment of NeoOffice; everytime I use it I'm already irritated that someone has decided that a

My son received an .ape file from a cousin over the weekend... Since then we [i.e. me] have been trying without success to read the damn thing. It is - apparently - a guitar & piano file recorded on a Windoze [spit] machine which sprog is supposed to add his contribution to and ...
