I need a router with 8 ethernet ports. Does such a thing exist? (I
can't find one.) And if not, what's the solution?
Many thanks
Question about the new Towers10 Aug 2006 15:17 GMT12
Do they have IR ports? I only ask because if I understood correctly (and
I'm waaaaay tired right now, so I may not have) 10.5 will come with Front
Row. I'm just wondering if the new Towers will have IR ports for the remote?
In fact, are we to expect the remote as an accessory? I ...

I was told in uk.adverts.computer.mac that Keith Pritchard may be able to

Would you buy a screen from Dell?10 Aug 2006 14:27 GMT26
The Dell 2407WFP is getting good reviews, and is the Labs Winner in the
current MacUser.  It costs £743.
The LG Flatron L2000C is the Editors Choice.  It costs £349.
Presubly the Dell wins Labs because of the number crunching tests, but

17" or 19" would suffice (funny - why do we still measure screens in
inches?!) but I want DVI, obviously. Recommendations of vendors would
Computer Backups10 Aug 2006 11:55 GMT22
Reading the transcript of the keynote yesterday I was struck by the low
proportion of people who backup their data. Not because I am
particularly surprised; just because it backs up my own experience of
dealing with (mostly Windows) users.

Macbook Pro use observations10 Aug 2006 09:53 GMT1

the bottom of the machine free and sort of cradle the side with their
legs. Others will have something between the computer and their legs. I
New Mac Pro - talk me out of it10 Aug 2006 06:44 GMT28
[Spec below]
I ebay the incumbent G5 (dual 2.0, 4gb ram, double-layer super drive,
ATI Radeon 9600 XT, 500+ days of Applecare left) for - I am guessing -
£900 (Dual 1.8 with less bells and whistles just went for £765).
