Software Update not16 Aug 2006 12:28 GMT9
I've just realised I'm still on 10.4.6
Software Update when run manually tells me I'm up to date. Pages, iWeb
etc keep nagging me to install the available updates but won't update!
I've downloaded the combo but the installer tells me there is no
Useful Video App16 Aug 2006 11:54 GMT1
Here's something quite cool that I discovered recently - an app to convert
from one movie format to another without needing a quicktime pro license
I've successfully used it to convert video podcasts to the small size etc.

Using OSXvnc across the internet16 Aug 2006 10:59 GMT14
I don't think I can do this, but thought I'd try tapping into your big
brains...
I am about to donate a Mac Cube to my wife's parents (mainly so that we
can use iChat AV for them to see the grandchildren). They are not
Printer recommendation16 Aug 2006 10:16 GMT-
I'd like to replace my Samsung laser printer with a colour laser. I
reckon the Epson C1100 should do the trick to meet my needs:
1. Occasional letters and 30 page docs in B&W, say 1000 pa;
2. Half-decent quality colour photo prints to share around, say 100 pa;

Bluetooth on an older Mac - Anyone used mobile fun's device?16 Aug 2006 07:21 GMT4
I would like to get Bluetooth added to my Mac G4.  Apple recommends a
D-Link one but this costs around £40 which is a bit more than I really
want to pay.
Searching the internet revealed a product from a company called Mobile

Royal Mail kindly sent me their blurb about SmartStamp.
"No more wasting valuable time"
Good idea, I thought. Running a small business, I could do without
having to queue at the post office quite so often.

MacSOUP problem with iDisk15 Aug 2006 22:37 GMT2
I posted yesterday about my trick for my MacSOUP files. Put the main
folder onto my iDisk and alias it to my main user folder on each Mac.
This will allow me to access the same groups and articles from wherever
I am, and they'll be reasonably up to date.
iCal question15 Aug 2006 19:24 GMT7
I've always liked the iCal application and the ability to publish my
calendar so I can view it from other places (like at work for example)
but it would be *really* good if I could actually update my calendar
from my PC at work as well as from my mac at home.

iTunes artwork15 Aug 2006 11:12 GMT23
Just messing with Corripio...
Where is the artwork for music actually stored? Is it in the AAC file?
So if I have a thirteen track album then I increase the size of the
album by thirteen times the size of the image?
