Spell checking borked19 Aug 2006 23:37 GMT2
The system wide spell checking has given up the ghost on my desktop G5
running 10.4.7. No app that ties into the system wide spell checking
will highlight errors when "Check Spelling as you type..." is selected,
nor will spelling mistakes be found when the Spelling dialog is used ...

Now that I am almost moved, I need to move my ISP over.
My plus.net business account is quite expensive so I was considering

Also, I would like to get the account set up at the new house before it

Laptop battery usage and care?19 Aug 2006 18:02 GMT3
I'm just wondering about the usage of battery in the iBoko. Is it better
to actually use it, and let it drain down a little, or do I just use the
power adapter whenever I can?
There's going to be long periods where the iBoko will be sat in the
Keyboard for iBoko19 Aug 2006 18:02 GMT3
Ok, so I like the iBoko, although despite all your best efforts I still
think it was the right choice for my needs.
Anyway, I don't really get on well with laptop keyboards, so I'm looking
for a small keyboard I can use with it while it's on a desk. I have a
Microsoft Publisher Alternatives19 Aug 2006 17:50 GMT181
My 14 year old is starting her GCSEs at Boarding School and we have bought
her a MacBook.  Problem is she needs to produce some work that is Microsoft
Publisher compatible.  I really do not want to buy Windows XP unless I have
to.  Is there any Mac application that allows her to ...
Is "pod" a trademark?19 Aug 2006 17:50 GMT15
Apple seem to think so; they claim a "profit pod" (used to take readings
from arcade machines to see how profitable they are) infringes upon their
iPod trademark.

Will this ever happen to Apple?19 Aug 2006 17:50 GMT8
I hope we'll always avoid the sort of problems faced by Windows users,
but I wonder if the day will come when we'll face this sort of thing?

Wrong alias behaviour19 Aug 2006 11:18 GMT-
I have two computers, with an identical folder structure, and mostly
identical contents because I loaded the Powerbook by cloning the iMac
HD.
The iMac has an alias at the root level that points to our admin folder,
