iCal Mail ToDo ignores mail client setting21 Aug 2006 00:14 GMT-
iCal has a Mail ToDo context menu item that'll email a ToDo. If you
have your default email client set to something other than Mail
(Entourage in my case) it ignores this setting and launches Mail when
you choose the option.
MacBook Pro heat on battery20 Aug 2006 23:59 GMT7
As I've posted a few times recently I'm testing a 17" MacBook Pro. I've
said before how hot a 15" MacBook Pro I bought got. So hot I returned
it. This 17" does get hot when running with the power plugged in. Maybe
not as hot as the 15" but still uncomfortably hot. On battery ...
Forced hiding of specific filename extensions20 Aug 2006 23:26 GMT3
I'm using Sketchup at home and at work. Those models I create at work
are sitting on my USB key with those fugly .skp extensions on them.
Is there any way to get OSX to always hide filename extensions for a
given filetype?
Remotely controlling iPod20 Aug 2006 23:08 GMT1
I've finally decided I need an iPod. I don't want to listen to music on the
hoof, but I need it for my shows to play music through my P.A. system (it's
much the easiest way of transporting music to a gig) and I need to control it
remotely.
Gosh.20 Aug 2006 22:40 GMT16
Windows2000 just died after AVG found a virus and healed it. First time
in 10 years.
Now I'm going to waste the best part of a day rebuilding the darned thing.
Aperture discount e-voucher20 Aug 2006 22:26 GMT3
I know this was asked a few months ago, but I couldn't find any recent
follow up thread.
Just realised my Aperture e-voucher hasn't come through - so thought I would
ask the panel if anyone else was missing theirs.
UDL folder. What's this?20 Aug 2006 20:11 GMT4
I don't look in my users/shared folder that often, in fact I can't
recall the last time I did. Perhaps I never have.
I looked this morning and found a couple of puzzles.
Two folders, one called Infected, thankfully empty. At guess this is

iMovie/iDVD 6 bug20 Aug 2006 18:31 GMT2
OK - trying to drag a clip from iMovie to the drop-zone of an iDVD
menu. Every time, it came up with the clip -previous- to the one I
dragged. Took a while to work out what was happening, and now I've
realised what the bug is.
Mac Pro BTO20 Aug 2006 17:10 GMT18
If you do a BTO on the Mac Pro and drop the CPU speed down to 2GHz,
double the RAM to 2GB, drop the disk to 160GB, add wireless options
with mouse and keyboard, you get the following spec for £1729 inc Vat.
That's a lot of computer for the price. It's an extra £200 for 2,66GHz
from Windows to Mac20 Aug 2006 16:52 GMT6
I got my iPod mini about 6 months ago and installed it on my Windows
XP. I just got a Mac OSx for school and I'm moving out. But I can't
make the new computer recognize my iPod.
I've "Restored" it completely and re-installed the software for Mac.
