I switched from Windows 16 months ago and it's been a joy ever since. My first Apple was a beautiful G4 iMac. I still love it, but it's got to go... My daughter wants a PowerBook, so funds are required. Bye bye my first love :-(((

Hope someone can help me with this. I've just migrated to a shiny new G5 Power Mac, running 10.4.3. Using Entourage, I find that I can't open PDF attachments to e-mails, either using Adobe Reader 7.0.5 or Preview. I get an error message saying 'there was an error opening this ...

Just mooching around the Apple site to see whether Safari has been updated recently (got one or two problems that I hope might get sorted). The latest version I can find in Downloads is 2.0.1. However, my current version is saying 2.0.2.(416.12).

Just installed the latest security update (2005-09 is it?) and got to wonderign what the iG5 was *doing* during the 'optimisation' stage. From the sound of it, there's quite a lot going on on the HD... What does 'optimisation' mean in this case? Does it shuffle the system
