Does anyone know what causes Spotlight to function sometimes, but not
others? I've noticed that I can do a Cmd - Space most of the time, and the
Spotlight box appears. But fairly often, nothing happens. If I go on
working and try again a few minutes later, usually it's there. What ...

My wife tried to print yesterday, using the wifi network to reach the
printer attached to my Intel iMac from her G5 iMac.  It wouldn't print.
Printer sharing, file sharing, and screen sharing all used to work, but
now none of them do.  The two computers do appear in the "Shared" ...

I  am at last solvent enough to invest in an external backup  device.
I'm running an iMac G5 Power PC running OS X v 10.4.11.
Any recommendations for this set up.  Present disk size is 149gb.

Often I copy something from a dokument to paste it into my Wordpress
blog. To prevent the formatted text to reappear in Wordpress, og paste
it first into TextEdit to unformat, and then copy paste again.

CompUSA now charges a 15% restocking fee on ALL OPEN ITEMS. So, if you
try a CD-r drive and isn't compatible, or whatever?  15% charge to
return it.

I have a friend, who is a non-IT person, whose Macbook hard drive died
on her.  She doesn't want to send it in for maintenance until she can
recover some of her data.   She was just given a Mac G4.

I have a 1Ghz G4 Quicksilver I am preparing to partition for Leopard.
It has a 74.5 gig hard drive, with 896 meg of ram.  I am planning on
partitioning for 10.4/9.2 for one half of the partition, the other for
Leopard.   Mainly I am using the 10.4 partition for a few Classic

mouse pointer changes to crosshairs.  You can then drag-select a
rectangular block of text.
