problem burning a dvd20 Jul 2008 14:37 GMT1
I have a movie consisting of files with .ifo, .bup, and .mov endings.
They are VTS files, eg VTS_01_0.vob.
I cant get Toast v9 to recognize these files and burn the movie.
Any suggestions?
It just took over five minutes for the KB's pause button to work in iTunes20 Jul 2008 13:27 GMT6
Impressive. It usually only takes about 30 seconds for it to work when
this Mac's display is asleep. But just now - a little over five minutes
for this Mac to recognise that input.
So - is five minutes a record? *manical laughter*
Alternatives to iDisk (asked before but buried in thread)20 Jul 2008 04:19 GMT8
I prefer IMAP Gmail but the new webmail is damn good.

Who starts automount on Tiger?  I've looked under the launch folders
and don't see it, and my superior knowledge of Linux/Solaris, etc
makes me look under /etc, but I can't find it there, either.
I've read the automount man page, and it's not really a help. I want

Where does Mozilla keep the Firefox 3.0 bookmarks?19 Jul 2008 08:22 GMT3
It's almost impossible to google for this because everything that I
read has a different location and few specifically mention Firefox
3.0.  Even Spotlight can't find it just searching for Firefox or
bookmarks.html -- what a pain.  Anybody know?
Good articles19 Jul 2008 07:16 GMT19
Just in case you missed it, like I did. And if it was mentioned here I
missed that too. Anyway, I was wondering whether to try antivirus

Possible to change list selection behavior when deleting items?19 Jul 2008 04:08 GMT11
I still can't get used to it and was wonderingi f it could be changed.
I find that in Mail and iTunes when I use the delete key to delete an
item, that the system selects the item before the one I deleted and not
the one after it.  I'm used to it moving froward I guess from ...

Odd Internet Connection Behavior18 Jul 2008 23:37 GMT15
Where I work, the IT folk are extremely protective of their network and
auditors require anti-virus software on every Windows box connected to
the network. I've been allowed to have an iMac for video editing with
FCP. IT have installed Sophos Anti-Virus on the machine and it ...

I've got a cable modem which goes to a router, which is, in turn,
connected via ethernet cables to a hub upstairs which goes to two
macs.  My macbook is in the downstairs office, and connects to the web
