Accessing Samba with Leopard if browseable=no is set29 Jul 2008 06:33 GMT4
I am facing a problem accessing a samba share which has been set to
browseable=no. While earlier versions of Mac OS had no difficulties in
accessing the share, 10.5 refuses and gives an error code -43
instead.
Usenet Newsreader for iPod touch29 Jul 2008 05:15 GMT10
It is pretty much said in the title. I would like to find a newsreader that
will run on my iPod touch, preferably as its own application. I've not been
successful googling for one so if you know of one please let me know.
Many thanks in advance!
non-admin user cannot modify files in Leopard29 Jul 2008 04:24 GMT5
I just set up a Mac Lab full of iMac C2Ds  with 10.5 in which I have
an admin user and a standard user.  The standard user is, of course,
the one which students will use the Mac.  However, I just received an
email in which one user says that she cannot modify files and that her
pictures erased from iPhone29 Jul 2008 03:20 GMT6
My son inadvertently synchronized his iPhone with iTunes and lost all of
his new picture files, which were not in the iTunes folder. Is there a
way to recover these files?

Nzb files on a Mac28 Jul 2008 21:20 GMT2
Sorry for the newb question :)
I'm currently (and have been for some years) using a PC. However, given
their unreliability with the sheer number of 3rd party components all
crashing with each other I'm giving serious consideration to my next
Tracking stolen iPod28 Jul 2008 19:01 GMT2
Anyone out there have experience with Gadget Trak or other software to
track a stolen iPod? The Gadget Trak web site says you have to format an
iPod as FAT32 for their software to work.

Dear friends:
One of the features I miss in my MacBook Pro is the small light that
shows the disk activity. Please recommend me an utility (gadget) to
monitor it.
APPLE FIRMWARE UPDATE28 Jul 2008 15:56 GMT5

Leopard-friendly printers?28 Jul 2008 15:30 GMT10
I have had nothing but headaches with trying to print to my Lexmark
X5470 since changing from Tiger to Leopard.
I found and scrupulously followed instructions laid out by Lexmark
expressly for installing drivers for a Leopard OS (http://
Location of iPod touch 2.0 firmware file.28 Jul 2008 10:56 GMT2
My iPod touch is acting up (bottom row of the keyboard is non
functional). I read that a solution would be ( because I've tried
everything else) to erase the 2.0 firmware and download over again from
Apple.
Copying a DvD28 Jul 2008 09:40 GMT11
I created a DVD using a DVD+RW with my TV's DVD recorder (Copying my
laserdisc).    I tested it, then put my DVD+RW in my Mac, and an empty
DVD-R in my Mad Dog.   After I cancelled out of playing the movie, I
tried to find how to duplicate the DVD.   I didn't see it, so I copied
For Once I Stu;mped The Apple Store Genius28 Jul 2008 09:38 GMT7
One of the great things available to those of us that have convenient access
to an Apple store is the Genius Bar, something I frequently avail myself of,
and which until now has been able to provide an answer to a presented
problem. But today that changed.
Latest iPod update f.cked up my iPod, of course.28 Jul 2008 09:36 GMT23
The latest iPod update naturally failed for my iPod classic. The only
option was to unlug it which lead to a forced restore.
God I want to f.cking hurt someone at Apple nowadays.
