I have a Mac G-3 running system 8.6 which I use to run older software. Lightening blew me out of the water last week. These programs are all pre-OSX. My other computer is a MacPro running OSX 10.4.11 and 10.5 on separate partitions.

| Time Machine- moving large folder | 17 Jun 2008 19:06 GMT | 28 |
New to Time Machine, and just realized that a six Gig folder of photos is out of place. If it's moved on the HD by dragging, will Time Machine "be smart" and see the only change is its parent folder, or will it erase and then copy the whole folder back into the TM backup?

| Backup Boggles | 17 Jun 2008 15:38 GMT | 18 |
It always amazes me that backing up is something that so many people somehow think is unimportant. Today I was notified that an acquaintance, someone who runs a business on Macintoshes, someone I have urged for literally years to implement a backup strategy but who has ignored ...

| Time Machine funny | 17 Jun 2008 15:00 GMT | 2 |
Looks like TM ran all day yesterday on my Mini without doing anything. The menu bar icon rotated but in the menu it always said something like "0kb of 300MB backed up". I rebooted and it seems fine. Is there a process I can safely kill to have the same effect without restarting?

My Epson 740 used to print good sharp characters. Recently it started printing each character with a faint image about half a millimeter before or after the full sharp image. It looks as if you are seeing the letters in double vision.

Okay, so I need a portable mp3 player, cell phone, and GPS device. I not only WAAAY can't afford an iPhone, I've also had Verizon as a carrier for two years and don't want to switch from a service which has worked well for me, and with which I am eligible for an upgrade,
