I just bought an Xserve and need recommendations for a 19-inch rack, rack-mountable UPS and a KVM switch. The 19-inch rack will be mounted on a wall but not on the floor and only needs to hold the Xserve, the UPS and perhaps the KVM and one other device. I could google for this

Apparently a whole bunch of app's "phone home", even Apple itself does. I am not to sure I want to know about who does and who does not phone home.

Hi - We have just added a USB Printer to our MAC system. All apps see it and are able to print from it; however, when we try to print from our old accting app - PrintSmith 6.1.4 - it doesn't give us the new printer as an option.

i have an iMac, a MacBook, an AirPort Extreme N router, and a USB hard drive. i would think id be able to mimic exactly what Time Capsule does -- automatic wireless Time Machine backups of both macs to the USB harddrive plugged into the AirPort.

i like using Time Machine w/ my iMac and external USB drive. however, i like how Time Capsule can backup from multiple macs. can i unplug the USB drive from one mac and plug it into another, and expect to maintain two separate, but working, TM instances?

My main drive 60GB drive is going bad but much of it is still readable. I have put a 40GB drive in the machine too. What's the best way to transfer the contents of the duff drive to the new one? Thanks
