I have used Text Wrangler to change the character coding and line ends
of some documents that I have imported from Windows systems but which
did not display correctly in Text Edit.
I saw lot of options, and decided to look at a OS X generated text

I am running 10.5.2 leopard, with time machine, on an Imac G4 (the
hemispherical lamp base model). Seems generally good except for a couple
of glitches.
One is that the finder occasionally hangs and won't respond to mouse

Lately my imac spends 2 minutes thinking after I have entered my password
and pressed return - its stuck at the password screen. Eventually it logs on
and all is well. Its only my account and I don't see anything obvious in the
console log that would cause this. Repaired permissions ...

Hi, still getting to grips with my iMac.
I have a WinTV HVR 900 usb Tv decoder. It uses EyeTV Lite software. Despite
closing the software down before switching off, on startup the TV screen
window is displayed and the TV stsrts on startup.I knew how to stop this

My sister has a Mac G4 and I want to get her a DVD drive.  Does anyone
know if the HP DVD1040i Lightscribe drive or the Sony DRU190A 20x DVD
drive will work? She is running the Tiger OS.

Would Disk Warrior run faster if ran from a firewire (fw400) external
hard drive rather than a CD or DVD? Can it be run from an external hard
