I often want to find a file using a partial name, but finder pulls up
data matches.   How do I search by file name, without looking at data?

When copying files via finder in 10.5.2, from local disk a share (Go >
Connect to Server > smb://ipaddy/xxx)
WHen the file starts to copy, I see cannot copy error -36. It looks

I am getting quite a few downloaded apps that will not open - when I try
to open their disc image I get a box with the message 'not recognised'
etc in it and the image wont open.
I have tried to 'repair' a couple of these images with the disc utility

After updating Camino to version 1.6, Safari (and my other browsers)
have started acting like a Windows browser:  typing "yahoo" in the url
pane doesn't take you to http://www.yahoo.com.  Now I get an error
message and have to type out the whole url.

Query about awka installation.
                          I spent most of my years compiling on Sun
Os and have for the last 5 years been in retirement.  My current
machine is an iMac running OS X 10.4.11
