I have a problem with leopard and my friend has it also very similar
(he has updated from tiger and I have clean install). The problem is
with waking up mac after it has been closed. In majority, everything
wakes up but screen remains black. The only one possible solution for

If I want to save a web page using Firefox, I get a menu of location
including some recent save locations - but when my desired directory
isn't there, I haven't been able to figure out how to get to that
directory.   What do I need to do?

Just did a new install. I am on dial-up.  When I select "connect when
needed" Internet Connect automatically dials up on startup.  It *used to*
dial up automatically only when opening an app (Firefox, etc).  Is there a
pref or something that I need to uncheck or change to stop it ...

I used to us DWMX on a PC until Xmas but am noow a Mac user ;)
So I bought DWMX from a guy selling his software collection.
All works fine  . . . until . .  I try to connect with the remote site.

I rarely use Terminal but today seemed odd.  I tried to type in my
password (same one I use for installs) after inputing su and it wasn't
accepted.  Does su demand a different password?  I tried all the
possible password combos (the caps lock wasn't on) and no luck. Even

Since I upgraded to Leopard, I've had a problem with the sound out that
