Has anyone else noticed that Adobe Reader performance on OSX is pathetic, and especially compared to Preview? Or is it just something I've done to my machine (Macbook Pro 2.33 2G Ram)?

I came into my office and heard the fans running amok. it turns out that repair_packages was hitting well over 60% CPU usage. Time Machine had just done a backup. I didn't quit r_p and it quit itself in a minute or two. Can't see anything in Console.

How do you enable and disable the use of individual ports in Leopard and Leopard Server? At present, I cannot access my usual e-mail account from my MacMini running Leopard Server or from my old G4/867 running Leopard.
