| LaCie disk software | 10 Mar 2008 16:45 GMT | 17 |
I just got back from the Apple Store where I bought a LaCie big extereme + hard drive. I really considered the same sized Time Capsule, but money was an issue and I already had a router. I was going to back up my wife's year old 256G iMac and my 500G iMac and

| Open an folder, Crash the Finder (Leopard 10.5.2) | 10 Mar 2008 05:31 GMT | 30 |
Since a few months ago, when new features were added to the Finder, it's possible for the Finder to crash upon opening a folder. I believe Finder crashes when it encounters a problem while trying to display a preview icon for a file.

| Time in Buenos Aires | 10 Mar 2008 04:17 GMT | 1 |
It appears that the time zone information for Buenos Aires Argentina is incorrect on my system, 10.5.2. The Worldclock widget is telling me that it is currently 22:48 there, while a person on the phone is telling me that it is 23:48.

| RAID: Read/Write Throughput Pretty Much Proportional to Number of Drives? | 09 Mar 2008 22:29 GMT | 3 |
Is the throughput from the Mac Pro's RAID system pretty much proportional to the number of drives hanging off the RAID card? Alternatively, are there ... parasitic factors that degrade that proportion substantially?

| Best way to migrate from one Mac to another exact same model? | 09 Mar 2008 19:55 GMT | 32 |
I'll shortly have two 2.8GHz iMacs in the house, the newest being a replacement for the replacement (which is sitting on my desk right now). Yes - that's right. Apple have given me two lemons in a row. That or these iMacs and/or Leopard are just so spectacuarly bad I'll never see

| Scanners for OS X | 09 Mar 2008 16:19 GMT | 23 |
So I'm looking for a scanner for my Mini and was wondering if anyone knows of websites that have recently compiled compatible USB scanners for OS X 10.4 and 10.5. And if I don't need color scanning, would my field of possibilities be much wider? Forgive the nuubieness of these
