cron doesn't seem to work on OSX 10.4.10. I have created (with crontab -e) a crontab file in my user account (not in a administrator account), which looks like this:

All I was doing was quitting some apps. But when I quit Firefox, it's menu stayed in the menu bar but no commands worked. No keyboard commands worked though the mouse still functioned. However, when I tried using the mouse to select the Apple menu to access the Force Quit

In a software update, I installed a new version of Airport Utility - version 5.3.1 . It no longer sees my Airport Extreme base station. I had used the previous version successfully. I did power everything off and back on - no change.

Just received MacSpeech Dictate Monday, slapped it into my Mac, dictated this post. I used the supplied headset. Noticed that MacSpeech made another great decision by including an external sound card in their package.

I have apparently a bad CD in the CD drive on my iMac Leopard (intel) machine. Nothing in it was recognized and now it won't eject. I have tried to eject it and it just sits there. The trash icon looks like the "eject" symbol and none of the icons in the doc are functioning.
