I am trying to make a backup copy of the DVDs that came with my
MacBook Pro.
I have used Disk Utility to create a new disk image from the first
install DVD. I've tried both "compressed" and "CD/DVD master" formats

Has anybody came across a record of Apple product placement in movies
and TV-series? If so, links, please.

So I just maxed the memory in my late 2006 (3GB max) core 2 duo iMac.
Turns out the 1GB dimm is in bank 0 and the 2 GB dimm is in bank 1. I

I have a lot of mp3's on my ipod nano but am missing the files on my
hard drive.  Does anyone know how to get the mp3's off the ipod and
back onto my hard drive.  I'm using the windows version of iTunes.

I have read up on transferring files between the tow machines using
Firewire, but what I want to know is:

Is a primary domain controller required for this?  If not, what is
necessary to accomplish this?  The Mac sees the NetBIOS workgroup and
the printer's name and sends the print job.  Sometimes it appears in

I find my MBP 17" developing a very annoying quirk lately (MBP half a
year old): the trackpad behaves erratically often, ie the pointer
