What is Apple's policy on warranty coverage for second-hand goods? I
don't mean refurbs purchased from Apple or a dealer. I'm thinking more
like something less than a year old bought on eBay. Does the original
buyer's one-year warranty coverage transfer to the second-hand buyer? Do

My brother is having a huge problem with Time Machine and a new LaCie
500mb external. Apparently he's not the only one. He keeps getting
"Backup Failed" messages. He's tried all the things he could find to try
from MacFixIt, but can't get it to work. We did find an odd problem:

Just found out that you can't use OS9 on eBay anymore.
So now ya have no choice but to upgrade to OSX.

Hosting a database (filemaker) and Daylite on an cluster node

According to the NYT <http://tinyurl.com/264hd5> "Apple is considering
tying an all-you-can-eat music subscription to some of its iPhones and
iPods." A music industry exec told a Times blogger that his company and
others in the industry would meet with Apple next week.

Is there any way to turn off the annoying bleeps and bloops that
Microsoft Word makes every time it does something.  I've searched the
preferences and can't find any option to get rid of them.
