I run MacScan every morning and on Sunday morning it found 195 spyware
processes and over 1900 cookies. The number of cookies is totally
incorrect, I normally have 54 cookies and about 7 spyware processes . I
went to Safari, Firefox and IE and cleaned the cookies and cleared the

I've got some rules to sort mail into various folders. One rule has look
for something in the To field, same thing in the From field and if Any
criteria is met then it moves the email to a folder and plays a

So being clever and having foresight, I partioned my hard disk, so
that I could install bootcamp on my Mac... and have the correct size.
Guess what? Bootcamp assistant won't let me install bootcamp anymore!!
So for my foresight, I'm punished.

One of the accounts on my Powerbook (still running Tiger) has started
getting very slow internet responses.  No, I can't remember what may
have precipitated it, although it is possible I had to force quit some
application that was misbehaving, or forced a logout by shutting down

( Along with my Personal Computer folder )

... drag files, in column view, to a higher level folder, the contents
and sub-folders would open in column view, where I would be able to
drop those files in a folder.  That make sense?  Didn't think so.  Will
try again.

I have an opportunity to get a broken G5 system: dual 2.5GHz (liquid
cooled) with no power supply. Includes hard drive, video card, but no
memory. The story from the owner is that about a year ago they heard a
popping sound and saw some smoke and the system stopped or went off.

I am running a Mac book pro OSX Tiger.  I installed Bootcamp Beta
(months ago) and have been using it with Windoze XP.  I am going to
upgrade to Leopard in the next couple of weeks and am going to
reinstall Windows on the NTFS partition.  I am considering upgrading

Does anyone have an idea of what this means and/or what might be causing it?
I've experienced it several times today on my G5 PowerMac following a period
of non-use.
