Frozen cursor in OS X 10.5.227 Feb 2008 17:22 GMT7
My employer just got me a black MacBook, which I love. I'm running OS
X 10.5.2. However, the cursor freezes from time to time, necessitating
a hard restart -- pretty ugly stuff. Installing the keyboard firmware
upgrade has made no difference. Help!
OS X (10.4) - Will 1 license run on 2 computers?27 Feb 2008 16:07 GMT3
Hopefully a very simple question: If I purchase 1 copy of 10.4, can I
install an run it on 2 G4 Macs that run over an Ethernet network, or
do I have to purchase a 5 pak?
Running XP on bootcamp27 Feb 2008 06:21 GMT1
I am running a Macbook Pro.  I installed Leopard today and tried
installing Windows XP 64 bit.  Windows seems to have installed fine
except the display appears very fuzzy / grainy and none of the volume
brightness eject buttons function properly.  I have tried adjusting
Any Mac users run GoToMyPC (on their Mac)27 Feb 2008 03:01 GMT7
Any 'enlightened' Mac users run "GoToMyPC" ver 6.0 software
on their Macs?
My understanding of that software is that it allows a Mac
to remotely control a PC that has the Vista OS.

Programs get bent when external disk spins down27 Feb 2008 00:26 GMT1
Hi -- I'm having a problem where if I tell iTunes or iPhoto or VMware
Fusion to store its data on an external USB drive, the program often
gets very unhappy when the external disk drive spins down.  I.e., the
program will complain about an i/o error and will then refuse to work
Older Airport Base Station conundrum26 Feb 2008 23:16 GMT12
OK here goes. By the way, thanks for reading in advance.
I have a MDD G4 Dual 1.0gig running 10.3.9 (because 10.5 is very slow
with the internet, I suspect the Sonnet Aria Extreme wireless card). I
purchased a used Airport Extreme Base Station (the white space station
dismaneling cinema display26 Feb 2008 20:08 GMT5
On the back of my 20" Cinema display there is a tube shaped 'thing'
that connects to the base on which the screen stands.
How can I take apart the screen from the base?
Is there a manual for that somewhere?
Finder rotating JPEG and PNG downloads (10.4 and 10.5)26 Feb 2008 20:02 GMT2
For some unknown reason, my Finder has begun doing a 90 degree
rotation of every image that I download from the web.  When it first
occurred in Tiger, I thought it was some preference file that got
corrupted.  Rather than try to find it, I upgraded to Leopard and did
Need advice from Verizon FIOS users26 Feb 2008 19:59 GMT11
I am looking to replace my current ISP with Verizon FIOS, but I can't
seem to get pre-order technical support from them. So I am looking
for OS X (Leopard) users that are FIOS customers. There are a few questions:
1) I have heard conflicting reports on weather Verizon will install
Switching between Airport and wired Ethernet26 Feb 2008 18:09 GMT22
How can I switch from my wired Ethernet connection of my iMac G5,
OS 10.4.11, to my Airport Extreme Base Station (n).
If I simply unplug (or not) the ethernet cable to the Mac, then
select my network's name from the Airport icon at the top of the
Extreme newbie: Connecting printer wirelessly to iMac/Leopard?26 Feb 2008 16:10 GMT4
I have years of Mac experience but never anything wireless, so extreme
newbie here in that department.
Trouble is, someone with even less experience, a friend's mother, wants
me to connect her iMac to a lexmark printer wirelessly.
LaserWriter Pro and Leopard26 Feb 2008 15:23 GMT11
Has anyone here gotten a LaserWriter to work in Leopard?
