Macbook Pro - USB Hard-drive Problem08 Feb 2008 17:08 GMT6
I have a USB 2 80 GB portable (bus powered) hard drive which I am
using with my MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz.
I notice that the hard drive only works, when plugged into the USB
port on the right hand side. When plugged into the USB port on the

Last week I  made Adobe Acrobat 8 the Safari 3.0 plug in for PDF
files.
Today I needed to print a 2007 IRS form from their web site, so
I accessed the form PDF and clicked Print.  Easy?

My problem is that it is very difficult to get the WLAN to work.
It finds the network, but I have to connect at least 10 times before it

there seem to be some odd wrinkles in the way Leopard finder deals with
aliases in the sidebar when the aliases refer to folders on samba shares.
You can't (apparently) drag a samba share to the side bar like you can a
local directory.  Is their a work-around for this?

Disk Utility seems to work great (though it may not be the most
intuitive program in the world for some of us.)  I notice that sometimes
.dmg and .iso files seem to accumulate on the left column under the
