I'm using an iMac, 10.4.11, verizon dsl, teranews and newswatcher. I have problems with nearly every movie format. Mpgs usually just don't play at all. Avi's oftern will play the first file, but not the rest of them, and sometimes only play the sound but not the video. Wmv's ...

I recently bought an external firewire 500GB hard drive (Iomega MiniMax). I partitioned the drive into two parts then cloned the computer's hard drive on to the smallest partition using SilverKeeper. The drive format is Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

I pulled up a the Message menu in Hogwasher and saw the command to "Kill series" (I have no idea what that means). I could click on it to do this function - but I'm a keyboard person, I looked at the keyboard command so I wouldn't have to do it again.

Has anybody seen this, and what does it mean? : I installed 10.4 (retail DVD) on a G4 (MMD dual 1.25MHz). The 120 GB drive has 3 partitions - about 10, 50, 50 GB. The first partition harbours system 9.2.2 and was quite full.

Well, the MacPro arrived and I can't for the life of me figure out how to configure the 2nd ethernet port. I want to hang a subnet off that -- actually, hang my Airport gig. router off it -- but my fumble-fingered attempts don't seem to work.
