Rationale for Inviting Non-Muslims to Tawhid12 Feb 2008 04:24 GMT7
There are three categories of Tawhîd (the Oneness of God) that we must
explain very clearly to the non-Muslims.  First is Tawhîd Ar-
Ruboobeeyah (Oneness of Allâh's Divinity or Allâh I as the Only God
and Creator). Allâh I is the Only Rabb, the Creator, the Sovereign,
movies won't play12 Feb 2008 03:52 GMT1
I'm using an iMac, 10.4.11, verizon dsl, teranews and newswatcher.  I
have problems with nearly every movie format.  Mpgs usually just don't
play at all.  Avi's oftern will play the first file, but not the rest of
them, and sometimes only play the sound but not the video.  Wmv's ...
problems booting from a partitioned external firewire drive12 Feb 2008 02:00 GMT5
I recently bought an external firewire 500GB hard drive (Iomega
MiniMax). I partitioned the drive into two parts then cloned the
computer's hard drive on to the smallest partition using SilverKeeper.
The drive format is Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Wireless dropouts11 Feb 2008 20:31 GMT4
I have a tiny LAN around a D-Link DI 624 that's supposedly a robust WiFi
router and broadcaster. However, in the last week or so, I've
experienced hundreds of complete drops in the signal, at least as shown
by iStumbler's visual readout, and by my own difficulties in obtaining

Leopard on G4 AGP?11 Feb 2008 09:06 GMT4
I've successfully installed Leopard on a re-formatted drive inside a
"800"Mhz G4 AGP machine (PowerPC G4 2.1 with 1GB Ram) by targeted
Firewire mode from a new MacBook Pro.  It starts up the MacBook Pro
fine, and I see that the OS was installed successfully, but when I go
iBook G4 PMU11 Feb 2008 08:12 GMT2
The way I understand it.. Install a new, fresh battery. Wait about a minute before pressing the PMU reset. The PMU needs a good battery to function proprely.

Keystroke descriptions10 Feb 2008 23:24 GMT4
I pulled up a the Message menu in Hogwasher and saw the command to "Kill
series"  (I have no idea what that means).
I could click on it to do this function - but I'm a keyboard person, I looked
at the keyboard command so I wouldn't have to do it again.
GUID or MBR Partition schemes?10 Feb 2008 21:16 GMT7
Does it really make any difference in speed or reliability?
If I use Bootcamp should it be MBR?

Has anybody seen this, and what does it mean? :
I installed 10.4 (retail DVD) on a G4 (MMD dual 1.25MHz).
The 120 GB drive has 3 partitions - about 10, 50, 50 GB.
The first partition harbours system 9.2.2 and was quite full.

Mighty Mouse Question10 Feb 2008 15:05 GMT2
I have what I think is an unusual problem, and it has me stumped.
My intel core 2 duo iMac has the stock, wired mighty mouse attached. It
is the one that comes in the box with the iMac. On occasion, the scroll
function will cease to work in one direction. This may last for a
Help needed with 2nd Ethernet port10 Feb 2008 10:18 GMT4
Well, the MacPro arrived and I can't for the life of me figure out how
to configure the 2nd ethernet port. I want to hang a subnet off that --
actually, hang my Airport gig. router off it -- but my fumble-fingered
attempts don't seem to work.
