Discrepancy between free disk space19 Dec 2007 19:29 GMT3
On the desktop, the icon shows I have 13GB free of 111.  Earlier it
said 02GB free.  Finder shows 90GB free.  What's the deal?
This Powerbook pro is just over 24 hours old -- I'm no where near that

MacBook Pro19 Dec 2007 19:04 GMT3
I've seen many postings through out the internet, about how good Apple
computer are. How people, like, dislike, & have some differences. I
have taken it all, for what its worth. A few weeks ago, I finely made
the jump from PC to Mac. I had two concerns, One was price & the other
MacDraw19 Dec 2007 04:38 GMT19
My wife bought a new Macintosh running MacOS 10.5.1 today,
and she is wondering what is the logical replacement for
MacDraw.  Being able to import her existing MacDraw files
would be nice, but something morally equivalent might do

Defraging FAT-32 drives19 Dec 2007 02:12 GMT3
I suppose most people with FAT-32 drives have access to a Windows
machine to defrag them, but some of us don't have privilege on our
work machines to run system utilities.
Should FAT-32 iPods or other external drives be defragged?  Can we do
Kernel panics after 2007-009 security update18 Dec 2007 23:10 GMT1
My iBook G4 has developed kernel panics on waking from sleep with two of
them in less than 18 hours after installing the latest security update
for 10.4. Any suggestions for fixes?  I've sent reports off to Apple.
Here's the entries from panic.log:
Flip4Mac WMV18 Dec 2007 22:06 GMT23
Is there any advantage in installing the latest version of Flip4Mac WMV
(the basic, free version) on a G5 iMac running OS 10.4.11 if one already
has Windows Media Player 9.0 installed? Or is it better not to try and
fix what isn't broken?

Menu bar icon cleanup?18 Dec 2007 16:54 GMT3
Is there an application out there that will allow me to gather all the
menu bar items at the top-right and put them into one menu?  One that
has a shortcut key would be a great feature as well.
The problem is that I have about 12 icons that I use enough that it
Any post Christmas sales on macs?18 Dec 2007 06:03 GMT4
If you have paid attention to these trends in the past, should I expect
there to be a price reduction in iMac prices (from Apple, Amazon, etc.,
reputable dealers) after Christmas? Thanks.

I've got two Intel-based Macs running 10.5.1, and a networked printer
connected to an iBook running 10.4.11.
On the MacBook Pro, the print dialog includes a number of
printer-specific options in the pop-up menu-- "Quality & Media", "Color
Steve Jobs Bites Child in the a.s...!!!18 Dec 2007 01:04 GMT24
Like any nine-year-old, Shea O'Gorman spends a lot of time listening
