So it sez in iTunes. I bought the album from magnatune.com and
downloaded as a .wav. Upon downloading one is given the opportunity to
download album art, and I did. What is it about these WAV files that
makes the artwork unmodifiable?

Check there before installing this monkey.
Journaling compulsory in Time Machine partition?24 Dec 2007 21:07 GMT10
Am I wasting my time trying to format a Time Machine partition without
journaling? I thought that was how I set it up in Disk Utility but it
turned out journaled anyway. So does Apple not allow Time Macine to run
on a non-journaled drive? Come to think of it, Mr Apple didn't know ...

On my windows PC I use a plugin for Winamp that changes the audio to
mono so I can use headphones. On my new Macbook I haven't found any

settings for the mac that will change all the audio to mono? Thanks.

I think one of my Pismos is giving it up.
When I boot, sometimes the UI comes up but the cursor locks up shortly

For the past year this machine has been used a lot on my lap. It gets

Apparently, Apple does listen to complaints.

QuickTime 7.3.1 vs OS 10.3.923 Dec 2007 18:51 GMT1
If you're still on 10.3.9 - do NOT update QT to 7.3.1.  There
are a few undefined symbols in it and life will not be much fun
afterwards (unless you backed up first).  Update Prebindings will
crash, Camino will start much slower, as will iTunes, and probably
How can I best uniquely identify which user sends a print job to a server in mixed network?23 Dec 2007 17:03 GMT1
Consider a campus environment where users supply their own computers,
which may be of differing operating systems. The users may print to a
CUPS print server on the network and retrieve their job by swiping their
ID card and selecting the job from the list.
