Hello!  I have an external Firewire hard drive formatted by a MacOS 9.2
computer I need to read on a MacOS-X 10.3.9 computer.  Can I do this
safely, with no risk of data loss or corruption of the format?  Will the
drive be 100% recongnizable by the MacOS-9 machine afterward?

There's yet another security update available -- I've intalled it, and
all seems well on Intel Mac Pro 10.5.1.

I skipped Tiger so I'm kind of behind on Dashboard and related security.  
I've done some reading but I seem to keep running across the same
references from when Dashboard was first introduced.  It seems that many

First off, in another thread someone suggested that prefixing the subject
lines in this group might help to distinguish real posts from the
ever-increasing background noise. Someone else suggested [mac.system] as
an easy to recognize prefix. I'm all for it. I've seen this tactic ...

I was always able to invoke Expose's F11 command to show the desktop by
simply clicking with 2 fingers on the trackpad of my MacBook.
I still can do it. Problem is I can't get another computer to do it, and
I cannot remember what I did to set it up so a 2-finger click = F11.
