| Mac Security: Porn Codec Mac Trojan OSX.RSPlug.A | 03 Nov 2007 06:46 GMT | 16 |
It's a new age folks! The very (very) first Mac malware is now available in the wild. It is a Trojan Horse. It is what I call 'Psych-Malware' in that it has to psych you into installing the crap. For the moment it is specific to porn sites. But nothing at

| It has arrived! | 03 Nov 2007 02:49 GMT | 2 |
And I'm happy to see that my Mac Pro came with both Tiger and Leopard in case I run into any application issues. I only have Panther so at the last minute I was concerned that I might have to continue using my old Mac if any of my important apps don't work on Leopard. Now I can ...

Apologies if this is a repost. MT Newswatcher crashed the first time I tried to post this... (ah, meta humor) Anyway! MT Newswatcher occasionally crashes when posting since my Leopard upgrade. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have a WD Passport 250 GB Portable Hard Drive and have been trying to put a custom folder background, so that when I connect it (USB 2.0) and open it in Finder it will always open in icon view and with the picture I set as the folder background. Every time I try, it

| Best way to get legit Windows to install w/Parallels? | 02 Nov 2007 20:44 GMT | 1 |
What's the best way to get a legitimate Windows license and install media to use with Parallels Desktop? Yesterday, I found at a MicroCenter retail store: Windows XP Home, System Builder edition, for $99. I had to laugh: It's in a plain brown

| Mac doesn't wake up from keyboard | 02 Nov 2007 20:09 GMT | 2 |
Since installing Leopard my Mac Pro seems less interesting in waking up from sleep. It used to be that the first press of mouse or keyboard would do it, but for the last two days it seems to ignore this, and only a press of the front-panel power button will do it.

| Leopard Dock Erase-Time Machine Rescue - Beware! | 02 Nov 2007 18:28 GMT | 2 |
I created folders of applications, containing whole folders and aliases, selected them all to add to the dock thinking that they would distribute themselves along the dock as aliases. Wrong. The entire selection became a single folder on the dock. So I removed that folder
