Been running Leopard for a few days without any problems. Suddenly, I

Full-screen mode doesn't seem to work at all.  Neither the "Toggle
Full Screen" menu item nor the "Full screen mode" checkbox in the
Output preferences have any effect.  Is this working for anyone else?
If I launch an xterm from the "Applications" menu it pays no attention

My second-hand Mac is only my 3rd/4th machine and has an 800MHz processor. It
is (I think) a Power Mac G4 (Quicksilver 2002).
Would it be reasonable/possible to upgrade the machine to be able to take

Trying to run Virtual PC v6.10 on a G4 with OS 10.4.10.using Windows XP.
When booted up in OS 9 my Belkin USB Serial Adapter F5U103 is recognized

I never liked NetInfo but I've come to rely on it for three very
specific things: creating new groups, setting explicit uids for user
accounts, and specifying remote nfs automounts.

"Piles" Might be a Better Name
"Stacks" are the worst idea I have ever seen in a GUI. The ability to
place a folder in the Dock and right-click to see its contents in an
easy-to-read, alphabetized list was powerful. I can no longer do that.
