Ram slots on Intel Mac Mini05 Nov 2007 17:12 GMT3
How many are there - the specs don't say.  I know that G4's only have

Alsoft Diskwarrior V4.0 is fine fixing/maintaining Leopard disks and free update coming05 Nov 2007 16:55 GMT7
As one of the Mac "support" portals totally became FUD machine after
Leopard, I better post this to Usenet.
Disk Warrior Version 4 is all fine when run from OS X 10.4.10 and has
tiny, cosmetic, trivial issues which will be fixed when run under OS X

Mighty Mouse - Nice try Apple.05 Nov 2007 15:42 GMT117
I'm done with the mighty mouse. I love the little thing but I've gone
through 4 of them now. Two wired and two wireless. Last one got
horribly confused and would insist the right button is the left. One
before that the roller ball just stopped working. First one just up and
Retain Last Save Folder?05 Nov 2007 15:36 GMT4
Seems to me that with Tiger, I would choose a folder to save a file in
and the next time the save dialog box came up, it was on the same
folder I'd chosen last.  With Leopard, that seems to no longer be the
case. I seem to recall the old Mac OS9 system had a 3rd-party utility
Leopard - 3d dock  - ATT: Jolly Roger05 Nov 2007 15:04 GMT3

Leopard: Safari not noticing new posts to RSS feeds05 Nov 2007 14:34 GMT3
Safari has suddenly stopped updating the bookmarks bar with the
numbers next to RSS feed URLs that show new articles. If I manually
open the feed pages in Safari, it is capable of highlighting the new
articles appropriately, but it doesn't show new articles numbered in
Leopard from a separate drive05 Nov 2007 12:47 GMT19
Does it affect the performance if I run my OS from a hard drive in bay
A or B. At the moment I am running 10.3.9 from drive A (160Gb) and
have a 120Gb in drive B which I only use for storage. I want to keep
the 10.3.9 available (mainly for Classic) and start from scratch with

NTP Time Sync won't work in Leopard. Why?05 Nov 2007 11:06 GMT7
I have been persistently unable to get NTP (network time)
synchronization working in Leopard. No matter what NTP server I use, I
always get this message in Console:
(org.ntp.ntpd) Unknown key: SHAuthorizationRight
Sleeping problems revisited05 Nov 2007 09:39 GMT6
Hello again.
I arrived home this afternoon to find my PowerMac very much OFF.  I'd
left it in Sleep mode.  Pressing the power button made it light up dimly
for as long as I held it in, then........
Renaming the Leopard "Guest Account"05 Nov 2007 07:10 GMT1
Is there a way to rename the new Guest Account that is a part of
Leopard?
When I installed Leopard, I already had a 'Guest Account' on my
machine, which meant that the Leopard installer created the new
OS 905 Nov 2007 05:02 GMT2
Does the newest version of OS X still allow running of OS 9 applications
on computers that could run OS 9 using OS 10.4?
Opera: Network Preferences05 Nov 2007 04:06 GMT3
It would so nice if Opera had Help info on each Preference option.  In
fact what would be awesome if pop up help files appeared when the
mouse hovered over
Anyway I did a search for this under OS X and there was only 1 hit and
Changing account from admin to standard05 Nov 2007 04:00 GMT41
OK, I've known for a while that I shouldn't have my main, everyday
account as an admin account, but it currently is. Since I have a lot of
files in this user folder, I don't want to eliminate it. I have created
a second admin account, and I want to change my account to a standard ...
