Yesterday I used Finder to navigate to /Users/mywife/Public. I noticed that the red prohibitory sign was missing from her ~/Pictures folder. I was able to double click it and get in to that folder, which had always previously been set to No Access for all others.

I recall that some of the older powerpc macs could not use all of the available space on newer large capacity hard drives. Is an iMac DV one of those computers and if so, how much of a new drive can they use? Thanks.

I'm running a G4, silver front, 1.0 mhz, 2 gig RAM. I installed Leopard over 10.3.9 and everything was going fine for a a few days. Then, things began to slow down, with the spinning beachball going on for about 30 seconds every time I tried to do anything.

I just saw this on Alsoft website and I wanted to share since it was exactly what I would do from my 10.4.10 partition if I have installed Leopard. Do not attempt to fix Leopard permissions from Pre Leopard OS X
