Problems I have found with OSX...
When it can't read a CD, it locks the system up until it gives up.
Spinning beach ball leaves you with no choice but to  hard reboot or
wait it out for several minutes.

... on my current hardware?
I have a machine with Pentium 4 3.00 GHz processor and 512Mb of memory.
Is OS X for sale?

It's all over the place: within 2 years, G5's cooling system leaks,
then destroys the power supply, the CPU and the mobo and the computer
has to be replaced. When heated, the cooling liquid is apparently a
health hazard. It's all over the net.

I've been doing video iChat with someone who has cable internet service.
The performance has been quite good, with fairly smooth video and not

when I was a wee lad, a grand would buy you a sinclair spectrum or an
amiga but woah... the pace is incredible.. doesn't it make your head

Is it possible to format several Word files with the same font and
font size?  Right now I highlight the open document, go to Fonts, then
do my thing.  But I need to do a lot of them and was wondering if I
can do them all together.  It would save a bundle of time.

Now that someone has explained how to get useless things out of the Menu
Bar, how does one put things into the Menu Bar?

Has anyone here had problems with the glossy (reflective) screen on the new
iMac?

A few months ago I purchased an Epson Stylus Photo R380 printer which is
promoted as being excellent for printing photographs. No matter what settings
I've tried and what papers I've tried I have never been able to get the
printer to produce printouts that don't have streaks ...

I get rather consistent hangs whenever I try to download a .pdf file by
clicking a link to it.

My MacBook Pro (it's about a year old) with the latest OS X updates
won't boot. On its own, it doesn't seem to find a boot disk, and I get

I had the chance to try IBM's Lotus Symphony on Microsoft Windows
the other day, and I have to say that I was impressed...  it has a
