Is it possible to install open-source software on the Mac by downloading the
source code and building it (the way it's done on other UNIX flavours, like

I somehow managed to lock myself in a corner.
When I start Terminal, the defaul window is really tiny (just slightly
larger than the red close button). I cannot resize it by dragging its
