Hi. I have a G4 Cube running system 10.4.10.  I generally don't shut my
computer down unless it's necessary and I leave it sleeping when I am
not using it. I also have 2.6 Gigs of space left on my hard drive and
768 megabytes of RAM.

I am looking at a new MBP. From a financial standpoint, I am ready.
From a need standpoint, I can wait. Being a relatively new convert from
the Dark Side and having never been through a new release of an Apple
system before, what is the general consensus of the more experienced

I have an Imac G5 which I bought about a month before Apple decided to
buy intel chips. I love it, no bluescreens etc HOWEVER, just recently
( as of this morning) it seems to freeze when in Safari. I see the
little rainbow pinwheel. It doesn't respond to the force quit key

I just got a MacPro and have successfully connected it to my wired
home network, all Windows XP computers. I have a Brother Laser printer
connected by USB cable to one of the PC computers. I can successfully
use the printer from any of the Windows computers on the network.

Does the Mac OS only do what it is pre-programmed to do?

Null modem cable and/or adapter for a Mac SE/30 (pref. UK)28 Aug 2007 02:39 GMT9
I've got an old SE/30 that I want to hook up to the Internet. Now the
machine has no built in Ethernet card (I've looked and the SE/30
specific ones are like pixie dust) and only has those funky little 8-
pin serial ports on the back.
Printable region on HP DJ9300 too small on OS X28 Aug 2007 00:54 GMT1
The printable region on my HP deskjet 9300 appears to be short when
connected to my Mac (running OS X). Prior to  connecting it to my Mac I
had it on a Linux machine where the printable region was significantly
larger. On the Mac the final 1cm or so can't be used. With Linux it ...

My Mac is acting like a PC27 Aug 2007 17:15 GMT31
Something I've just noticed in the last few days: it's becoming
necessary to restart my Mac when installing things.  The recent examples
