I'm not aware of a decent disk utility for Mac since Norton Utilities 8.0 came out for OS 10.3 and under. Since Norton Utilities is not supporting any future Mac products, I am forced to find something else. Would anyone please recommend a disk utility that they have found

I just got a MacBook Pro. My old system is a dual 1.25 G4, FW-800 with 4 internal hds and 6 external fw hds full of mostly mp3s. And i still have my old 400 MHz G4.

If I bought a new imac or mini, could I have apple store or other authorized apple reseller switch out the RAM and Superdrive from a dead emac? I'm not sure if my emac is dead, but if it is, I want to salvage what I can from it. Can I use the RAM and superdrive in another non emac ...

I'm a freelance designer who recently got a project that requires modeling software. Basically I want a program where I can enter a few line drawings -- front on, perhaps, and profile -- and it will generate a 3d image of the object.

Why should we even care about what a "Service" is? Because it is 'computer talk', which may have some obscure benefits for us personally if we knew how to use the "Services" menu selections we see scattered all over Mac OS X menus.
