is there any command in order not to list backup files (i.e. those ending ~) in the terminal ? In linux there is an option ls -B if I remember correctly, but did not find anyone in mac.

All of a sudden YouTube and RealPlayer aren't making any sound. iTunes works. QuickTime works. DVD Player works. System sound effects work. But when I play a YouTube video or a RealPlayer music sample off of Amazon they are silent. They worked fine yesterday, and I haven't updated ...

>From a terminal, I can do "sudo su" and then a "launchctl stop <my daemon>" to stop my daemon successfully. Also, I can run "sudo myprogram" where myprogram forks/execs "launchctl stop <my daemon>"; and my daemon stops successfully.
