is there any command in order not to list backup files (i.e. those
ending ~) in the terminal ?
In linux there is an option ls -B if I remember correctly, but did not
find anyone in mac.

All of a sudden YouTube and RealPlayer aren't making any sound. iTunes
works. QuickTime works. DVD Player works. System sound effects work.
But when I play a YouTube video or a RealPlayer music sample off of Amazon
