Yesterday I ran maintenance tasks on my mac: using disk utility I
fixed permissions, also ran a repair that had to fix a minor error.
Now, then attempting to download files, both my browsers (Safari and
Firefox) do not initiate a file save, but instead display garbage as

I often minimize documents I'm working on so that I can access items
on my desktop. To go back to working on the document, I use the
keyboard combination Cmd+Tab to get to the correct program, then go to
the Dock and click on the minimized document. Is there a keyboard

I just updated my ipod nano (2nd generation).  Since then, whenver I
skip through multiple songs at a time without listening to them (I do
this a lot), it just randomly reboots.  It never used to do this.  Is
there something I'm doing wrong?

I gave an iMac to to my sister in law in the dominican republic.
She loves it, and is a chataholic.  However most of her friends and
other family are on msn.
I suggested she use aMSN but the video conferencing portion is not

Anyone recommend a NEW printer that has drivers for OS 9?  A neighbour's
elderly inkjet has finally died and moving her from her OS 9 iMac is going
to be very difficult but from my initial trawl of the web, I can't seem to
find a modern printer that has drivers for OS 9.

Are there desktop replacements for Macs? I'm not talking new looks, I
mean different control possibilities, such as changing what
drives/files/folders/shortcuts show up. My real desk is kinda messy, and
I like my computer desktop kinda messy, too.

Everything was working fine... then my mic stopped

I wanted to recommend using iMovies to subtitle some video files shot with a
digital camera. They import and play fine. However as soon as I add a
subtitle then the sound of the subtitled section becomes just noise?
Anyone knows what to do???
