Intel iMac live video problem02 Jul 2007 02:51 GMT1
I'm finding that live web video streaming on my new intel iMac (1 Gig memory,
superdrive) is pretty poor. I've tried different live stream sites with the
same results: jerky, stop and go streaming, really quite unwatchable. I have
adjusted QuickTime and Flip4Mac settings, but no ...
how do i recover songs if they have been emptied from the trash?02 Jul 2007 00:35 GMT3
Can anyone help me with this question?
RAM01 Jul 2007 21:00 GMT7
Hi all, wondering here if adding RAM can really add to the speed of a
computer, and if so under what situations.  My dad has a G3 iBook
running Tiger and of course there's a lot of rainbow-balling and general
waiting for things as far as generally navigating the OS.  It has 256
Why did Apple abandon TYPE and CRTR?01 Jul 2007 20:54 GMT24
In the classic OS (1.0 to 9.2), back in the daze of System 6.0.5 and
System 7, files had a Type and Creator attribute that was heads and
tails over the .SFX suffix of Windows.  When Apple went to the Unix
based OS X, they abandonned this very nice set-up.  My question is why?
Macbook superdrive firmware upgrade issue01 Jul 2007 18:40 GMT3
Since I updated the firmware of my Superdrive to 2.1 I seem to only be
able to recognise one type of media. My Macbook rebooted in the middle
of the update which may be the issue although everything else works OK
apart from reading CD-R and some blank DVDs.
Totally new user01 Jul 2007 17:54 GMT5
I'm a pc field tech who has never, before 2 days ago, touched a mac. I
was sent to a location where a client was using a iMac desktop
computer. There was a user who was going to take the place of the
current client so I had to modify the current Lotus notes acct by
Open Office  Suite01 Jul 2007 17:10 GMT1
Don't be fooled by illegal copies of Microsoft Office selling for 49$
- 69$. These are not licensed copies and could end up costing you more
than $100,000 in copyright fines or willful infringement. Open Office
is a fully licensed alternative software to Microsoft Office. Get the
Built-in iSight01 Jul 2007 16:23 GMT12
The built-in iSight camera on my iMac is not working; regardless of the
application I use, it displays nothing but black.  With everything going
on at the Apple stores with the iPhone, I don't want to have to carry
the computer in, besides, they'll probably want to hang on to it ...
Intermittent DNS01 Jul 2007 14:57 GMT5
On my Mac Pro, the past couple day, my DNS has been really flakey. One
minute I can hit Yahoo, the next I can't.
My wife is using here iBook, and using the same DSL router I am, but
hers works just peachy.
system upgrade 10.4.1001 Jul 2007 14:56 GMT17
About 1.5 hours ago, we installed the 10.4.10 upgrade on my wife's
MacBook.  It rebooted once, and then rebooted a second time after five
minutes.  It has now been sitting there with the gray screen and the
dark gray apple, with the little clocklike widget underneath going
iPhone mania - sheesh!01 Jul 2007 14:23 GMT6
From Popular Science:
"I went to a brand new AT&T store in Philadelphia at 12 Noon today—It
was very remote so I figured I'd have no trouble getting one. I pulled
in the lot and I see three very sort of rough-looking guys on a blanket.
default keyboard mapping01 Jul 2007 05:31 GMT3
Last night my QWERTYkeyboard became a AZERTY keyboard with similar
switched keys on the right-hand side of the keyboard. Does anyone know
what I did or, more importantly, how I can switch it back?
I got 10 swapfiles! (YAY MemoryStick)01 Jul 2007 03:40 GMT32
Well, had.
Short story ...
I am wondering if there is a way to see what made my VM go nuts over night
with no activity. I've looked at Console but need some pointers as to what to
stuff.tv (british podcast) said iPhone price plans were very high01 Jul 2007 01:52 GMT1
I think the Americans pay for incoming mobile calls (it comes out
their mins). Also, to call a mobile is just the cost  of  local
landline call.
Many American podcasts were saying the packages were excellent value.
List of iPhone disappointments01 Jul 2007 01:50 GMT1

1. Bluetooth is ONLY good for connecting a headset. That's it.
2. There is no file browser on the device at all. Data must be
organized (if at all) in the appropriate application.
