Partitioning the HD22 Jun 2007 22:08 GMT18
I wonder if I could ask the members of this NG their views on

Migration Assistant question22 Jun 2007 20:05 GMT2
I just acquired a Mac Mini two days ago, and used Migration Assistant to
copy most of my files and applications from my G4 Power Mac. In my
attempts to migrate my Mail and Safari settings (mailboxes, bookmarks,
etc.), I somehow ended up with two user accounts on the Mac Mini.
Is this a hardware problem22 Jun 2007 19:31 GMT2
Weird. My MacBook Pro will not shut down nor restart on command. In
order to shut down or restart I must hold down the power button for
several secands, then press for a fresh restart. Am I damaging anything
by this move?
The Mac has a 'ctrl' button, so WHY is it Command-V for paste, instead of ctrl-v?22 Jun 2007 17:49 GMT136
I use Photoshop on both Windows and Apple. I have wondered why Apple
don't just use the same international convention.

10.4.10 update - Onyx requires upgrade to 1.8.0 to run22 Jun 2007 09:43 GMT4

A kick a.s Mac Pro and it's beautiful to say the least.   And of course I put
Boot Camp on and installed XP (God knows why?) and now I want to remove it
and get the space back over to OS-X.   Can't seem to figure out how and
thought it would just be a matter of trashing the drive ...
What's a good place to find out about Mac Accessories?21 Jun 2007 23:09 GMT3
I posted last week asking whether anyone knew of a good height
adjustable stand for a 17" iMac (intel).
I don't see any responses, so I'm wondering whether anyone can suggest
any other group or board that might be more focussed on accessories
