I have a Powerbook G4 DVI.
When I boot the system the screen is black, The only way I can get the
monitor to come on is to close the lid and put the computer to sleep.
waking it from sleep activates the monitor.

System: DP MDD G4 running OS 10.3.9. I'd like to install a high speed
USB 2.0 PCI card in my G4. Two ports is sufficient and I don't need a
combo card. We never put our Mac to sleep so the earlier issues of not
waking up with USB cards won't be a problem. Suggestions? Thanks.

I am thinking of buying an external USB Hard Drive from Toshiba or WD.
They both say that Windows is required and the disk should be
fornatted NTFS,.
