Vista on MacBook Pro05 Jun 2007 20:59 GMT42
I have installed Vista (need for work) on MacBook Pro, I also got rid
of Mac OS X. Everything works great :). The only thing that is strange
for me is that keyboard doesn't work before login window. For example
I can't go into safe mode (have to press F8 while booting).

Finding Files05 Jun 2007 19:26 GMT8
I've recently upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.9, and have found myself
growing increasingly annoyed with the spawn-of-satan-masquerading-as-
software more commonly known as 'spotlight'. Is there any way to
completely excorcize this 'feature' from my system while retaining the
Weird Mac problem05 Jun 2007 17:19 GMT6
Bought this Mac earlier in the year. It's using OSX (10.4.9). Shortly
after I bought it, I lost all Tab and Caps Lock functionality. (And
also, the tilde key doesn't work).
How can I restore functionality on these keys?

Hi, Does anyone know of a solvent that would clean ballpen ink off an
iMac G4 screen (6-yr old thought it would wipe off with water...)
TIA

isight05 Jun 2007 15:25 GMT7
Why the heck did they discontinue the iSight? Just when I decided to get
one they were no longer available.
Used ones on eBay cost more than new.
iMac G3 and wireless network05 Jun 2007 13:52 GMT6
I have two tray-loading iMac G3s running OS 9.2.2.  One of them is a
Rev. A and the other one is a Rev. B, if that matters.  I would like to
get them on my parents' wireless network.  I don't need both of them to
be connected at the same time, so I was hoping that someone would ...
Need specific BootCamp/Vista advice please05 Jun 2007 11:01 GMT101
Need some specific advice from any die-hard Mac person, who is also
forced to use Windows at work.
In other words, someone who  _KNOWS_  the practical risks of using Vista
on a Mac with BootCamp.
G5 won't shut down05 Jun 2007 06:57 GMT11
I¹m running OS X (10.4.9) on a Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5 with 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM.
Recently it has been failing to shut down completely. It closes all open
windows, ends all running applications, etc. and then just hangs. The only
way I can get it to power off or to restart is to press ...
Picklists on web sites05 Jun 2007 06:23 GMT5
I have a relatively new iMAC.
When I go to sites that have forms to fill out, tabbing through the
data fields jumps over picklist fields. I have to use my mouse to get
the picklist fields.  It's the same on whatever browser I choose.
Bluetooth inaccessible from menu bar05 Jun 2007 05:02 GMT2
G4 Powerbook, OS X 10.4.9.  Bluetooth firmware updated to latest.
I can access all Bluetooth functions by launching the Bluetooth File
Exchange App from the Applications folder. (connecting to my Motorola
E815 phone)
Any way to save corrupted Mac HD disk?05 Jun 2007 03:40 GMT6
I have some historical newsletters on Mac disks that I want to post on
the internet.  Some of the disks cannot be read - I guess they are
corrupted.  Is there any company or product that can salvage them?
Thanks,
