My entire Os 10.4.9 desktop moves with the mouse cursor (actually in
the opposite direction to the cursor movement). The full range of
movement is about 1/2" but that's enough to scroll the menubar off the
top of the screen when my cursor is at the bottom. The desktop also

I just hooked up a 3 1/2" Super Drive to my Mac Plus with OS 7.1.  It
did not like it one bit.  The drive is brand new, never used.  I will
test it on my IIGS, only for 800K.
Shouldn't the MAC be able to use 1.4MB disks in the super drive

Is there a way to rest your default email client for Apple programs,
for instance: so that iCal would use Mozilla Thunderbird instead of
mail. I sure don't see it in iCal.

So I rack up a couple of new Xserves, our previous ones had been set up
by our VAR, but these two are straight from Apple and no matter what
type of monitor I connect to them I can only see the top left corner of
the initial setup screen.

I heard that some external HD's don't work on macbook pro because they
run via USB and no power supply is needed. The USB is power is not
enough to use the HD...is this true for the following HD's

I've just moved to mac and I'm so happy with it.
However, on Windows, I used to have the Google Toolbar's photos widget
on my desktop. I'm struggling to find a dashboard widget which does

I would like to create a shortcut on my desktop to another User's home
folder.
I would like access to that folder as the other user or as root,
