somehow i broke my 'clear' command, whilst installing wget (which turned out to be a busy anyway, curl did the job fine for me instead). anyway, now whenever i type 'clear' at the terminal, i get: Segmentation fault

I'm having a terrible time trying to migrate files from my old G4 powerbook to my MBP. The only problem is, is that I can't delete either HD, and Migration assistant isn't copying over anything but system folders. Could anybody help?

I've had my iMac for a month now. Sometimes I can hear a strange crackling noise which seems to emanate from my computer. It seems like the sound you can hear when a cable is loosely connected, for example. I've checked the power leads, and they seem to be in securely.

What's the best way to transfer my programs and other data from a desktop G4 to a brand new Imac? The salesgirl at the Apple dealer said it's easy. She said to just string a six-foot Firewire cable between the computers.
