I used Visage to change the graphics on my login screen to something
much cooler. However, I want to change the text that says "Art
Vandelay's computer" to something else. I want it to default to the
date and time, or maybe my computer's serial number.

I am importing from a Sony Digital 8 camera.   Clips were
automatically created for each scene for the first tape I imported.
With the second tape it is importing it as one large clip of 10+
minutes, and not creating a clip at each scene.  What's up?  I didn't

I am using a bit torrent client called bit lord.
I set up outbound filtering on my firewall to only allow access to
ports 80 and 443 for web surfing,
Now , obviously , bit lord wont work.

I have known about Macs since they came out, but was never interested as I
like PCs (partly because I love to troubleshoot problems, sometimes more
than actually using the computer, lol.)

I have a Clearlight 2.5" portable Firewire drive that is about three
years old, just lately transfers will stop part way through and then
after a lengthy pause I get the "Device removal" dialogue box as the
hard drive has unmounted.
